FASHION: Stuffing Yourself…
Well in these times of over stuffing thank GOD they are allowing us the room to grow. The new “Belle Curve“ silhouette is truly needed in this time of bulging bellies. I guess we will be right in season (with the turkey)! The trend emphasizes the beauty and ‘belle curves’ of a woman’s waist. The style is reflected from 1940’s style jackets, skirts and dresses which has stylish classic shapes. It is not as dramatically ponching as the sometimes-dreaded “babydoll” but it does give you the forgiving room appreciated from the design. MANY classic designers attacked this trend this season; it may have something to do with the depressing economy and tendency to overindulge in your lows. In keeping with the season’s trend, the “puffy” shoulder is there to give balance to the rounder hip. It may strike you as eighties at first, but it’s hot. The tapered long pants and the flowery top from perfectly reflects the themes for fall-winter fashion. Another winner from the Belle Curves fashion theme is this that asymmetrical shoulder design it is simply romantic! So, I say eat up ladies and hope that it goes to your hips… so you can fill out that new skirt from Balenciaga. Ooh-la-la! And… Ho, ho, ho!

BEAUTY: GaGa Grab It!!
Grab Bags Girls!
We all loved grab bags as kids. I can remember going to the “Hello Kitty” store and always getting the grab bag (shopping was obviously giving me a thrill back then too). The excitement of the unknown and the rush when we open the bag are incomparable to the overly obvious choices bombarding us when we walk through the door. The allure of the gamble is apart at even that age. So why wouldn’t I happen to come upon the adult equivalent. (well, the narcissistic female equivalent). It’s called TestTube and it is so much fun!!! It is “the most unique beauty sampling program” says Harper’s Bazaar. It is like being a beauty editor and receiving full size samples of all the hottest products that season. The program is seasonal and you receive a new “test tube” full of goodies four times a year. It makes me feel like a kid when it arrives. I love finding the package on my door, not knowing what I am about to receive and get to play with! TestTube allows you to try a variety of the best beauty products before you invest in them. Four times a year, you’ll receive a sleek tube filled with deluxe and full-size samples of coveted, high-performance luxury products. Products ranging the full spectrum of beauty, from head to toe, including both full size and deluxe sample sizes. Brands include: Anastasia, Colorescience, dr. brandt, Janson Beckett, Skinmedica, Supersmile, Viktor & Rolf, Esteé Lauder, Lancome, N.V. Perricone, M.D., PURPOSE, Vita, Youngblood, NIA and Obagi. If you like surprises and are a beauty junkie this is sooo for you to put on your list for Santa. Have them sign you up for a delivery. It rocks!

Girls Gone Green
Reuse The News
In this season of greed, let us try and make a small attempt to maintain some sort of restraint to the exploited excess. Any “Green” girl would be bothered by the concept of wrapping paper. The idea that we pay money to have a roll of (mostly) un-recyclable paper for covering the gifts we can’t afford, is irrational and lavish. I suggest we use newspaper, paper and plastic bags, old paper to cover our gifs this year, do that and add a beautiful, personalized drawing or message. It is so much more personal, environmental, and frugal to do this, this year and every year to follow. Refuse to spend more and waste more, any more. I just can’t do it without having a guilty conscious. It has a very unique, stylish and funky look when under the tree. So I challenge you to do the right thing this holiday season… just tell everyone you are a “Girl Gone Green”! Tell them what “NEWS” means to you…NoExcessWeSave.

What Your Girlfriends Won’t Tell You?
Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.
I have a secret that you want to know… most of the girls in those magazines are not taking magic hair pills; they are using hair extensions clip-ins. These are not what you are thinking of when you think extensions. These do not ruin your hair or require glue, nor are they pulling or pinching or a huge commitment and even better the price tag. No these girls are using clips. And luckily for you I am one of those girls, I admit, I am a clip-in addict. I love the long luxurious hair it gives me with a quick clip. It can change your whole look, with out a three-month commitment and $1000 plus price tag. These pieces range in color, style, texture, quality and price. You can purchase the hair in packages of pieces for your whole head or in single strips I tend to go with the better quality hair, they last longer and do not damage as easily. You can wash and curl this grade of hair without it being fried. I would recommend visiting www.headkandy.com for a great inexpensive way to become a princess with a single snap….for everyday or just special occasions, this little secret is very easy, affordable and gorgeous!

Tastes Better In Bed: Get Cheesy
All things taste better in bed, but CHESSE definitely does, with a great glass of wine and a cheese platter with goodies, what is better than a kiss in between bites… I love to “dine” in bed… you can make it last for hours… with a plate of offerings from the gods… olives, chesses, peppers, lettuces, fruits, nuts, breads, oils, wines, and love, this is heaven if I will ever know it. I am in the high skies when I indulge with my lover on the fruits of the earth… divine heaven I must say. So listen up my Adams’ and Eves’ its time to partake in the garden of eatin’… cut up some fresh, favorite chesses, slice a loaf of artisan bread, pull some basil leaves, spoon out decedent olives, plate up grapes and raw almonds, and drizzle the whole plate with the god of oils extra virgin olive oil… now go to bed with the platter in hand the bottle of red under your arm and glasses for each… never mind the napkins, lick each other clean… now kiss with your oily lips.

Is Technology a Girl’s Best Friend! Or Simple Evolution?
Angelina, Jessica, Lindsey, Megan, Jennifer, Scarlet, Kate, Giselle, all names used to refer to perfection, but is this manmade or natural evolution. Something tells me by the pictures below, manmade, but still a process of evolution. I can’t say I am that shocked at some things I am finding out about the entertainment industry, the deeper I get involved, more is revealed. Watching the young actresses look younger was not only making me jealous but it was making me curious. Those that are in their late teens and early twenties are truly shocking me with the bragging list of procedures that they are recieveing…I find myself both envious and intrigued. The constant bombardment of images of perfected people by way of plastic surgery. It is not that is is crazy that if we all had a little extra cash we could get a few tweeks to perfect ourselves too, and they do, but the crazy part is that it is ignored. I know THE MEDIA is to blame, but the girls, the mothers, the doctors are all giving in, wanting, finding, developing new procedures for their high demanding clients at reasonable prices, to all make more money? to be accepted? to be perfected? Or is it simply the evolution of man and machine. Nose jobs and extensions at 13, boob jobs and lipo at 16, botox and injections at 18 …my god no wonder the young look better than ever and are creating a frenzy amung 30-somethings… technology is a girl’s best friend these days, and the young are getting younger just by staying current on the tech trends. Well ladies get familiar with your computer, and your doctor’s blogs, there are secrets out there waiting to be discovered. There could be an answer to your problem just a google search away. Even with all the “work” media images are still airbrushed and photoshopped, styled and sucked and plucked and waxed and manicured and lifted and plumped and lengthened and tightened and basically perfected for all the world to envy. But maybe it’s time we embrace it and go with the evolution of beauty of humankind. Maybe we are just in a new time. In a world somewhat like that new Bruce Wills movie where we all become perfect and computerized. It maybe is just our evolution??? I am awed by the the fact that the evolution of mankind is happening before our eyes. With the progression of technology we are now become physically perfected and soon the manmade will takeover the natural.

KATE MOSS
Skinny mini Miss Moss has been a fashion icon for the 90’s hyper trend heroine chic and the inspiration for every anorexic. She represented a skinny sloppy vintage raw point of view in her style, especially today, for late twenty somethings. You can see how her influence is even carried into today’s trends with bohemian chic. She has cleaned up and straightened out her act a bit, in both her life and style. She gained a few pounds and even cut her hair, herself. I like her evolutions and appreciate all her stages of style. Her style is always current.
